My Story

Kyle Scarselli (he/him) is a games writer with 4+ years of experience and training in interactive narrative, television, and video games. He seeks to tell engaging stories that expand perspective and explore the human condition, highlighting synergy between narrative stakes and gameplay mechanics.

Kyle loves tackling action-adventure narratives that skew towards the supernatural, fantastical, and science-fiction. He believes that extraordinary fictional parallels can help us better understand the humbling reality of our own world. It’s no surprise why Kyle considers The Last of Us, Dishonored 2, and Returnal as some of his favorite gaming experiences! A selection of his screenwriting can be found published in Write to TV: Out of Your Head and Onto the Screen (3rd Edition). Kyle is currently working with Small Loan Studio as a Writer on an upcoming project, with whom he has previously released the cybernoir visual novel Santa's Secret: A Chrome Steele Mystery.

Outside of writing work, Kyle loves Halloween events, learning new board games and birdwatching with his cat, Pidgey. He is also taking up miniature painting and wargaming.

Kyle is currently seeking a writing position in games while endlessly attempting to fill the void of his hometown New York bagels.
